Sankalp Arora, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the use of adoptive cellular therapies in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with the primary focus being on overcoming the severe myeloablation and pancytopenia experienced by patients when targeting disease-specific antigens, which are expressed simultaneously on AML cells and healthy myeloid hematopoietic stem cells.
