Ilaria Iacobucci, PhD, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, comments on the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)-like subtype of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and highlights the challenges that remain in diagnosing and guiding treatment of patients with Ph-like ALL. Dr Iacobucci discusses the need for comprehensive characterization of the disease, particularly through transcriptome profiling.
