Ilaria Iacobucci, PhD, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, describes the challenges associated with the characterization and treatment of acute leukemias of ambiguous lineage (ALAL). Dr Iacobucci also comments on the benefit of genomics in allowing identification of specific genetic aberrations and cell populations.
