Vanderson Rocha, MD, Fundação Pró-Sangue Hemocentro de São Paulo & Universidade de São Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil, describes current issues patients with multiple myeloma face receiving stem cell transplantation in Brazil. Despite transplantation being a key treatment strategy, only one in five patients with multiple myeloma will be able to receive a transplant due to a lack of transplant units and resources. This interview took place at the 7th Congress on Controversies in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (COSTEM) in Berlin, Germany.
