SOHO 2026 | An update on the RESTORE trial: expansion cohort data on elritercept plus ruxolitinib in MF

Ciro Rinaldi, MD, PhD, Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln, UK, provides an update on the data from the expansion cohort of the RESTORE trial (NCT05037760), highlighting that patients with myelofibrosis (MF) receiving elritercept-ruxolitinib combination therapy maintained a transfusion response, with a consistent increase in hemoglobin levels and no drop-off from the patient perspective. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.

This is now the latest update on the expansion of the RESTORE trial. We’ve been looking after those patients now for longer. The data related to transfusion response are still quite robust, not just in terms of hemoglobin improvement. We still have a consistent increase in the hemoglobin level on an average of 1.5 grams compared with baseline. But it’s also showing no drop-off from the patient perspective and still a quite robust transfusion response in particularly transfusion-dependent patients, which in this study were around 60-65%...

But it’s also showing no drop-off from the patient perspective and still a quite robust transfusion response in particularly transfusion-dependent patients, which in this study were around 60-65%. So, clear, strong message that elritercept seems to be solid in these populations, considering some of those patients were pre-treated with ruxolitinib before and then either became anemic during the treatment of monotherapy or at the start of the myelofibrosis diagnosis.
