Andriyana Bankova, MD, University Hospital Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, discusses current treatment approaches for cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), including IL-6 blockade and corticosteroids. Dr Bankova also explains that although there are currently no general recommendations for prophylactic treatment strategies, these may be explored in the future. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 5th European CAR T-cell Meeting held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
