Nico Gagelmann, MD, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, shares his insights on the role of consolidation therapy in patients with multiple myeloma. Despite having been included in several recent trials where it was shown to deepen responses, consolidation therapy is not approved in any country and its role remains unclear. Dr Gagelmann comments on the need for studies focusing specifically on addressing this question. This interview took place at the 63rd ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition congress in Atlanta, GA.
