ASH 2025 | An update on research into JNJ-90014496 for DLBCL

Krish Patel, MD, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville, TN, comments on ongoing research into the use of prizloncabtagene autoleucel (prizlon-cel; JNJ-90014496) for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). This product is a CD19/CD20-targeting autologous CAR T-cell that will be investigated in an upcoming Phase III trial. This interview took place at the 67th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in Orlando, FL.

JNJ-4496 is a very exciting CD19, CD20 targeting autologous CAR T-cell. This past summer, we provided updated results from the Phase Ib study. That study continues to enroll more patients, specifically in the relapsed/refractory setting for DLBCL. There are some other cohorts that we’re enrolling in that study. And then also importantly, like we’re seeing with other CD19, CD20 CAR T-cells, a Phase III clinical trial in second-line DLBCL that is planned and will be underway in 2026, where patients are randomized to either CD19, CD20 JNJ-4496 versus standard of care CD19 CAR T-cells in the second-line DLBCL setting...

So that’s going to be a really important study to help us understand if a CD19/20 CAR T-cell is better than a CD19 alone CAR T-cell.
