Acute leukemia updates from around the world
The 1st International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) was held from February 16–18, 2018, in St. Pete's Beach, FL. iwAL was established to encourage interactive debates and discussions on AML and ALL. The first meeting was a great success, with the experts in attendance expressing their surprise that this was the first such meeting.
Just some of the key themes covered at the meeting included MRD, CAR T-cells, checkpoint inhibitors, novel drugs, trial design, and advances in genomics and epigenomics.
