IMS 2026 | Biomarker-driven prediction of ibrutinib response in Waldenström macroglobulinemia
Tina Bagratuni, PhD, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece, discusses whether genomic, proteogenomic and circulating tumor cell (CTC)-based approaches could become routine pre-treatment testing to predict ibrutinib response in Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia over the next five to ten years. She highlights the potential to identify a small number of readily accessible biomarkers that could be incorporated into routine laboratory testing and help clinicians select treatment based on the biological profile of each patient. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
