EHA 2026 | Managing TP53-mutated MDS: current strategies and remaining therapeutic challenges

Thomas Cluzeau, MD, PhD, Central University Hospital of Nice, Nice, France, shares insights into managing patients with TP53-mutated myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and remaining therapeutic challenges. Dr Cluzeau notes that the current standard of care includes azacitidine and consideration of stem cell transplantation; however, poor patient outcomes persist, necessitating further clinical research. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Stockholm, Sweden.
