Lucia Masarova, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses updated findings from the Phase III SURPASS-ET study (NCT04285086) evaluating patients with essential thrombocythemia (ET) who switched from anagrelide to ropeginterferon alfa-2b. Dr Masarova highlights improvements in hematologic responses and blood count control following the switch, supporting the role of ropeginterferon alfa-2b as an important treatment option for patients requiring second-line therapy.
