Lucia Masarova

Lucia Masarova, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leukemia, Division of Cancer Medicine, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. In 2007, she obtained her medical degree from the Comenius University Bratislava School of Medicine, Bratislava, Slovakia. She then went on to complete her Clinical Residency in Internal Medicine and a Clinical Fellowship in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute Bratislava, Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2017, she completed another clinical fellowship in Leukemia at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
Speaking on novel treatments and outcomes for patients with MPNs and leukemias
Dr Masarova’s research has focused on infections, immune system involvement, as well as the influence of disease background and therapies on outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies. More recently, she has investigated novel treatment options for patients with myelofibrosis (MF), myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), and leukemias. Dr Masarova has completed several research projects and is the first author on many peer-reviewed manuscripts.
