Carolina Vicente-Dueñas, PhD, Institute of Biomedical Research of Salmanca (IBSAL), Salamanca, Spain, discusses the role of the gut microbiome in protecting genetically predisposed mice against leukemia. Specifically discussed are the differences seen in models predisposed genetically to leukemia and how in future we may modulate the gut microbiome to prevent leukemia development.
