Anna Rita Migliaccio, PhD, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, discusses studies on GATA1 low mice that have been used to develop novel targets in the treatment of primary myelofibrosis. Specifically discussed are the role of inflammatory cytokines and integrins in the development of myelofibrosis as well as potential targets for treatment.
