At the Myeloma 2015 meeting, Prof Kenneth Anderson (Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA) chairs a discussion with Prof Jesús San Miguel (University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain) and Prof Antonio Palumbo (University of Torino, Torino, Italy) on immune-based therapies that are currently in clinical development for the treatment of multiple myeloma. Novel immune-based combinations that seem particularly noteworthy are discussed.
