Mohamad Mohty, MD, PhD, Saint-Antoine Hospital, Paris, France, discusses the timing of autologous transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma, commenting on data from the DETERMINATION trial (NCT01208662). According to Prof. Mohty, delaying transplantation may not be an appropriate strategy as many patients will develop comorbidities and will become transplant-ineligible.
