Phillip Scheinberg, MD, PhD, Beneficencia Portuguesa de Sao Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, discusses the use of transplantation in elderly patients with multiple myeloma in Brazil, where access to other therapies is limited. Dr Scheinberg says that this treatment option is viable and effective in this patient population, with relatively low treatment-related mortality. This interview took place at the Twelfth Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2024) congress in Houston, TX.
