Jan Geissler from the Leukemia Patient Advocates Foundation, Germany, talks to us about the approaches being made to increase the fertility of women who have survived cancer and wish to have children, namely egg or sperm donations or preserving frozen eggs prior to treatment, with the aim of providing cancer survivors with the ability to have children. He also discusses the need for consultancy services to be provided to cancer patients prior to treatment to allow them the preserve their fertility, should they wish to do so.
