Aaron Gerds, MD, MS, Taussig Cancer Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, shares his thoughts on the way Twitter and other social media platforms may be used in hematology for research ideas, collaboration, medical education, journal clubs, patient advocacy and beyond. In addition, Dr Gerds highlights the important role it can play in advocating for and enacting social change.
