Morie Gertz, MD, MACP, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses frail populations in immunoglobulin light chain (AL) amyloidosis patients, defined as either a brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) of over 8500 or systolic blood pressure of less than 90, with a median survival of less than 6 months.
