Ibrahim Yakoub-Agha, MD, PhD, University of Lille, Lille, France, talks on new practices for the care of vulnerable immunocompromised patients at EBMT 2021, highlighting the challenges of managing patients receiving cellular therapy. Prof. Yakoub-Agha discusses the need to harmonize practices internationally and outlines the limitations of existing international guidelines. He also discusses EBMT’s joint effort with the European Hematology Association to issue European guidelines to healthcare providers. These will be written in English but will be available to be translated into other languages. These guidelines will be designed to be adaptable for local use.
