ERIC 2022 | Leukemic cell birth rate & the role of recently divided B cells in CLL

Nicholas Chiorazzi, MD, Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Manhasset, NY, discusses the association between leukemic cell birth rate and patient outcomes in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), commenting on the impact of recently divided B cells on disease evolution. Prof. Chiorazzi explains that these recently divided B cells are able to communicate with T cells to induce B cell survival and prevent the generation of cytolytic T cells. This interview took place at the 2022 European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) Meeting.
