Tomasz Kaminski, PharmD, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, discusses recent research evaluating the correlation between circulating neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and the presence and severity of gasdermin-D-dependent joint damage in patients with hemophilia. Dr Kaminski explains recent advances in knowledge regarding the role of neutrophils in the immune system, and further highlights how the results of this study may benefit patients. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), held in Montréal, Canada.
