CAR-T Meeting 2024 | Identifying molecular markers for the prediction of ICAHT in patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy

Lukas Scheller, MD, University of Würzburg, Würzburg, Germany, presents the findings of a study that aimed to identify molecular markers allowing for the identification and prediction of immune effector cell-associated hematotoxicity (ICAHT) following CAR T-cell therapy. Severe hematotoxicity was found to correlate with markers of immune dysregulation and endothelial dysfunction using sequential flow cytometry and multiplex cytokine analysis. Dr Scheller highlights that validation of these findings in independent cohorts is necessary. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 6th European CAR T-cell Meeting in Valencia, Spain.
