COMy 2022 | Challenges with the preparation and administration of CAR-T therapy
Despite the success of CAR-T therapy for the treatment of myeloma, there are still many challenges associated with the preparation and administration of these agents. In this video, Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, Meldola, Italy, discusses some of these challenges, including the issue of identifying which institutions have the resources to administer and prepare CAR-T therapies, as well as the importance of communicating between experts and consolidating multidisciplinary teams to improve the overall manufacturing process. This interview took place at the 8th World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy) 2022, held in Paris, France.
