EBMT 2023 | Addressing the issues of access and affordability to CAR-T therapy
Natacha Bolaños, Lymphoma Coalition Europe, Madrid, Spain, addresses the ongoing access and affordability issues associated with CAR-T therapy. Ms. Bolaños comments that patients need to be better informed and access to the treatment needs to be facilitated. Shared decision-making is vital, and patient experience must be incorporated into the treatment strategy. Further data collection is needed to understand the benefits of CAR-T therapy which also requires commitment from healthcare policymakers. This interview took place at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) held in Paris, France.
