TCT 2021 | Impact of donor kinship on outcome of haploHCT with PTCy in acute leukemias

Arnon Nagler, MD, Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Aviv, Israel, explores the role of donor kinship in non T-cell depleted haploidentical stem cell transplantation (haploHCT) with post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy) in patients with acute leukemias. In this study, donor kinship was not found to impact the outcomes of haploHCT in this patient population and Prof. Nagler highlights how factors such as age, CMV, and gender should be further analyzed for optimizing donor selection hierarchy. This interview took place during the Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (TCT) 2021 Meetings.
