ASH 2023 | Long-term complications in patients with hematological malignancies post-SCT
Eleni Gavriilaki, MD, PhD, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece, briefly discusses the long-term outcomes and late complications of stem cell transplantation (SCT) in patients with hematological malignancies. Dr Gavriilaki emphasizes the importance of addressing cardiovascular complications and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), as these are the two leading causes of death in transplant recipients who have not relapsed. This interview took place at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
