Susan Prockop, MD, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, briefly discusses how viral infections, such as Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), contribute to the pathogenesis of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) in patients who have undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplant (SCT) and solid organ transplant. This interview took place at the 50th Annual Meeting of the EBMT in Glasgow, Scotland.
