EHA 2023 | The IMWG frailty score explained

Michel Delforge, MD, PhD, University of Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, explains the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG) frailty score, a system that allows stratifying patients with myeloma into different categories based on age, comorbidities, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL). Prof. Delforge discusses why this system was created, what drawbacks arise, and how newer scoring systems have been created based on this initial framework. This interview took place at the 28th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany.
