John Murray, RGN, MSc, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK, emphasizes the essential role of nurses in managing patients with graft-versus-host-disease (GvHD). Whether it is patients with acute or chronic GvHD, nurses are vital to managing both short- and long-term complications. Another important role of nurses is to advise these patients and help them reintegrate into society.
