John Murray, RGN, MSc, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK, emphasizes the essential role of nurses in managing patients with graft-versus-host-disease (GvHD). Whether it is patients with acute or chronic GvHD, nurses are vital to managing both short- and long-term complications. Another important role of nurses is to advise these patients and help them reintegrate into society. This interview took place at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) held in Paris, France.
