Francois-Xavier Mahon, MD, PhD, University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France, comments on some of the key challenges in the field of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), including managing patients in resource-challenged countries, improving patients’ quality of life (QoL) and effectively eradicating all leukemic stem cells to achieve a cure of the disease.
