Tayfun Güngör, MD, University Children’s Hospital Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, shares a summary of his talk comparing curative options for X-linked chronic granulomatous disease (X-CGD). Dr Güngör describes the use of gene therapy for patients who do not have matched donors and compares results with those from patients who received allogeneic stem cell transplantation using alternative donors. This interview took place during the 47th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) 2021.
