Zinaida Perić, MD, PhD, University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia, talks on the next steps for research into chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), in particular outlining efforts made to treat chronic GvHD without steroids. Dr Perić describes how, due to the heterogeneity of GvHD, its management requires multidisciplinary supportive care, with organ specialists recommending local aggressive treatments where necessary. This interview took place at the 4th Annual Meeting of the International Academy for Clinical Hematology (IACH), which took place virtually in 2021.
