Shuhua Yi, MD, Institute of Hematology and Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Tianjin, China, discusses the challenges of analyzing patient response and complete remission (CR) in Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia (WM), and further explains how measurable residual disease (MRD) may play an important role in detecting low tumor burden levels. This interview took place at the 11th International Workshop on Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia (IWWM-11), held in Madrid, Spain.
