Didier Blaise, MD, PhD, Paoli-Calmettes Institute, Marseille, France, comments on the benefit of extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) to reduce the use of corticosteroids in patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), highlighting the importance of using this strategy early on in the treatment of GvHD. This interview took place at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) held in Paris, France.
