Victoria Metaxa, MD, PhD, of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses the need for intensive care for around a third of patients undergoing CAR-T. The creation of the EuroCAR-T force will allow specialists to share their experiences to improve patient care. Dr Metaxa also discusses the potential of CAR-T treatment but also the need to be prepared for it to become a more widespread treatment option. Hence, big hospitals need to be educated to understand what they are treating. This interview took place at the CAR-T Cell Therapy and the ICU meeting in London, UK, which was organized by EuroCARTForce.
