iwCLL 2023 | The importance of understanding the tumor microenvironment in CLL

In this video, Cristina Scielzo, PhD, IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milan, Italy, describes the importance of investigating the tumor microenvironment in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in order to understand the interactions between the leukemic cells and the supportive microenvironment at sites such as the lymph nodes. Focusing on the components of the microenvironment will allow for greater understanding of the disease and of the development of resistance to therapies, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. This interview was recorded at the biennial International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (iwCLL) 2023 meeting, held in Boston, MA.
