ASH 2023 | Using cfDNA to monitor and diagnose viral-associated lymphomas

In this video, Rena Xian, MD, MS, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, briefly discusses the application of genomic testing using circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in patients with viral-associated lymphomas, highlighting her current research which is assessing methylation patterns of viral cfDNA to define which patterns are associated with tumor- versus non-tumor cells. Dr Xian further comments on the value of using this approach in clinical practice to provide earlier diagnosis for patients with viral-associated lymphomas. This interview took place at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
