Mattia Algeri, MD, Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, Rome, Italy, explores the impact of graft source and composition on graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). He delves into the complexity of designing an optimal graft due to the diverse cell compositions, which vary not only between different graft sources but also within grafts from the same source. Dr Algeri also discusses strategies like T-cell depletion and the role of immune cell subsets within the graft. This interview took place at the 50th Annual Meeting of the EBMT in Glasgow, Scotland.
