SITC 2021 | Clinical considerations for toxicity management and survivorship

Marc S. Ernstoff, MD, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, gives an overview of the topics that will be discussed at the session on clinical considerations for toxicity management and survivorship at SITC. To begin with, nurses and physicians will share their perspectives on the management of toxicities related to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), and subsequently, there will be presentations on ICI-related cardiotoxicity, as well as on the association between treatment toxicity, age and patient outcomes. The session will end with a discussion on these topics. This interview took place during the 36th Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
