Gabriel Mannis, MD, Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, CA, presents on the potential of tagraxofusp and tuspetinib in patients with TP53-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr Mannis explains that tagraxofusp, a diphtheria toxin-based agent, may have anti-leukemic activity independent of TP53 status, and discusses the Phase II TRILLIUM (NCT06456463) and Phase Ib/II HASHTAG (NCT06561152) trials. He also introduces the oral kinase inhibitor tuspetinib, which may help overcome common venetoclax resistance mechanisms, and shares early data in patients with TP53 mutations from the Phase I/II TUSCANY trial (NCT03850574). This presentation took place at the 8th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) in Cambridge, MA.
