ASH 2017 | The analysis of neurotoxicity at ASH 2017

David Maloney • 10 Dec 2017

David Maloney, BSc, MD, PhD, of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA, discusses one of his highlights at ASH 2017 – the analysis of neurotoxicity. He explains that neurotoxicity is related to high levels of cytokines and endothelial breakdown, allowing the diffusion of cytokines into the brain. This can result in severe toxicity. New strategies are therefore currently being worked on to prevent this toxicity.
Recorded at American Society of Hematology 2017 Annual Meeting, held in Atlanta, GA.
