BSH 2023 | Challenges with diagnosing MDS and future outlooks

Manoj Raghavan, MBBS, PhD, FRCPath, MRCP, CCST, University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK, briefly discusses the major challenges associated with diagnosing myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and further comments on how approaches to diagnosing MDS are improving with novel technologies. Dr Raghavan also highlights how novel classifications for MDS and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) may impact clinical practice and trial design. This interview took place at the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) 2023, held in Birmingham, UK.
