Per Ljungman, MD, PhD, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, discusses the challenges for hematological transplantation associated with COVID-19. Research endorsed by the executive committee of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) made recommendations that transplant centers should avoid patient COVID-19 infection, whilst also highlighting the limitations placed on international transplants due to restrictions on travel and border movement. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Hematological Oncology (VJHemOnc).
