Jan Burger, MD, PhD, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the role of non-malignant cells in the chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) microenvironment. He focuses on macrophage-type cells called nurse-like cells, which are involved in the proliferation of CLL cells. This interview took place at the 2024 European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
