ASH 2024 | Racial differences in biological drivers of multiple myeloma & ongoing research in this space

In this video, Joselle Cook, MBBS, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses her work on racial differences in biological drivers of multiple myeloma, highlighting the need to understand the heterogeneity within people of African descent. Dr Cook is currently screening individuals of Eastern African descent and a Caribbean population to identify biological drivers of monoclonal gammopathies, with the goal of determining whether there is a germline predisposition or environmental contribution. This interview took place at the 66th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
