Monika Holubová, PhD, Charles University Faculty of Medicine, Pilsen, Czech Republic, talks on the potential role of natural killer (NK) cells in relapse control after haploidentical stem cell transplantation (SCT) in leukemia. Following treatment, tumor cells are damaged and express stress-associated molecules which allow them to be recognized and killed by NK cells. The success of this mechanism is variable. This interview took place at the 48th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) 2022, which was held virtually.
