Susanne Saussele, MD, University of Heidelberg, Mannheim, Germany, shares some examples of challenging scenarios for treatment-free remission (TFR) in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), including patients with undetectable BCR-ABL levels at therapy initiation whose BCR-ABL levels rise fast after treatment discontinuation, and patients who experience severe adverse events with TKIs. This interview took place at the 24th Annual John Goldman Conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (ESH CML) held in Mandelieu-La Napoule, France.
